Role: Careers Leader (Careers Information, Advice and Guidance Officer)

Salary: Grade S6-7 paypoint 21-28 £20,000 - £21,750

Location: ALP Schools, Leicester, Birstall and ALP Nuneaton, Warwickshire

Contract Type: Full time or Part Time option available, (Term Time Only 40 weeks)

ALP Schools provide continuity in learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are a
provision for learners on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and
challenging behaviour. We cater for young people in their primary, secondary and post-16 school
years. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with children so that they are able to
overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible,
structured and supportive needs led approaches.
We are looking for a Careers Leader, who, with direction and support from the Careers
representative for the Executive Board and senior leaders, will plan and guide a strategy for
developing careers programmes in ALP Leicester and ALP Nuneaton, that meets all of the eight
Gatsby benchmarks. Where appropriate, they will work collaboratively with Career’s Co-ordinators
and external careers advisors to ensure good practice and ensure young people are prepared for
choices and transitions in education, employment and training. The purpose of the job is to ensure
that all ALP Schools learners are engaging in an appropriate level of careers education, information,
advice and guidance.
Full training can be offered to those wanting a careers change but may not have the experience or
qualifications to meet the job description and person specification

Salary: Grade S2-S4 paypoint 5-16 - £17,000 - £18,750 dependent on experience

Location: ALP Nuneaton, Park Street, Nuneaton, CV11 4NS

Contract Type: Full Time, Term Time Only (40 weeks)

ALP Nuneaton is a newly established school for learners between the ages of 6 and 19 with Special Educational Needs. This is an exciting time for our expanding organisation as ALP Nuneaton becomes our fourth established school. This employment opportunity falls into our first wave of recruitment for the school, which will undoubtedly grow in terms of its numbers and positive reputation in the community.

We are looking for Higher Level Tutors to plan and deliver teaching and learning activities to small groups of learners or on a one to one basis. Higher Level Tutors are expected to deliver one or more subjects from the foundation learning range, including core skills, vocational learning or personal and social development

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who will be required to work as part of the team in supporting and guiding learners with learning difficulties/disabilities in both individual and small group learning sessions. The post holder may work with primary, secondary or Post 16 learners to support and assist them in establishing good attendance, positive relationships, a routine, trust and respect for the environment and the people within it.
